I'm Jan Mahaffey, owner of It's Faux Real Interiors and I've been designing beautiful interiors in Austin and
surround areas for going on a decade in a variety of styles and budgets. I'm there to help you from our first
meeting in your home, during the planning, designing and estimating the project to your budget specifications,
from the first walk-through with our contractors until the last accessory is in place-complete project management.
I also offer consultations by the hour with expert advice and experience to guide you on your way. My approach
to design stems from my theatrical training in set design at the University of Texas at Austin (hook ‘em): As in a
well-designed stage set, I believe your interiors should reveal your personality and interests, use your favorite
colors, textures and materials, and reflect your individual style. That's why I feel it's important that I not be a
"Design Dictator", that working with my clients should be an interactive process. Firstly, my job is to help you
achieve an absolutely functional interior that works for your lifestyle, and secondly to make it look fabulous!
